🌍 Roots & Routes – Youth Workers Strengthening Communities 🇮🇹

📣 Join a life-changing Erasmus+ training course in Rende, Calabria (Italy) from 25 to 31 March 2025! This 7-day immersive experience is designed for youth workers who want to boost their skills, promote inclusion, and create positive change in their local communities while connecting with global perspectives.

🎯 Project Overview

This Erasmus+ project, organized by Entropia APS, blends local identity (Roots) with global awareness (Routes). Through interactive methods and non-formal learning, participants will:

  • 💬 Dive into inclusion, social cohesion, and youth participation
  • 🌱 Engage in role-plays, World Café discussions, and team-building exercises
  • 🌍 Exchange cultural perspectives in a diverse international environment
  • 📜 Earn a Youthpass Certificate to validate newly gained skills

🧠 Learning Goals

This project will enhance participants’ ability to:

  • 🤝 Work inclusively in diverse environments
  • 📈 Promote youth engagement and active citizenship
  • 🌐 Build professional competence through intercultural experiences
  • 💡 Develop personal skills in communication, leadership, and group facilitation

👥 Who Can Join?

  • ✅ Youth workers and aspiring professionals aged 18+
  • ✅ Comfortable communicating in English (basic level minimum)
  • ✅ Available for the full training duration and eager to participate actively
  • ✅ Committed to sharing project results with their local communities

🚆 Venue & Logistics

  • Location: Residenza Socrates, Via Alberto Savinio, Quattromiglia (CS), Calabria, Italy
  • Accommodation: Shared rooms + 3 meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Check-in: 24 March, 3–8 p.m.
  • Check-out: 1 April by 10 a.m.

✈️ Travel Details

Closest airport: Lamezia Terme. Other nearby hubs: Milan, Rome, Naples, Pisa.

From the airport, you can reach Rende via:

  • 🚉 Train (to Castiglione Cosentino station)
  • 🚌 Bus (using MooneyGo or MyCicero)

Note: Only economy class and public transport are eligible for reimbursement. No taxi or private transport will be reimbursed.

💸 Travel Reimbursement

Travel expenses are covered according to Erasmus+ rules. Reimbursement is subject to:

  • 📥 Submission of original tickets and boarding passes
  • 📝 Completion of a participant report
  • 📑 Signing of required declarations

🔄 Green travel options (eco-friendly) offer extra travel days. Reimbursement is processed individually after the project.

🌐 Cultural Exchange

Participants are encouraged to bring:
